Job Description

Working closely with MVAM’s Head of Advice you are a professional financial advisor, who can offer expert advice on suitable investments, insurance, tax, and private pensions with a background in the trade or a related industry as well as FCA certification in financial planning. You will be communicating and devising advice and reporting to clients, providing them with accurate information and bespoke deals that will enable them to make an educated choice that suits their specific requirements. Also, you will be Involved in and helping evolve processes of client charging, client on boarding and the management of client information.

MVAM has been authorised to give client advice for seven years but has concentrated on investment management, so advice has been limited. We are broadening our advice and this role includes assisting in creating and developing the advice side of the business.

What will you be doing?

• Contacting clients and setting up meetings.
• Conducting in-depth reviews of clients financial circumstances and future aims, analysing information and preparing individually tailored client plans.
• Designing financial strategies.
• Assisting clients in making informed decisions.
• Make full reports to clients.
• Completing risk analyses.
• Contacting clients with news of changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments.
• Assisting in ensuring client on boarding and communication meets FCA requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Relevant degree.
• Level 4 FCA diploma in financial planning.
• Experience of research, analysis & report writing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and numerical communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while prioritising tasks.
• Flexibility with willingness to accommodate occasional early/late work and external events.
