Bolton Percy Cricket Club near York can now live stream matches, thanks to Mole Valley Asset Management, which has purchased a live camera system for the club, enabling it to broadcast matches to YouTube and a dedicated app.

The portable camera, called FrogBox, has been taking the grassroots cricket world by storm, giving clubs a chance to share matches to a global audience. Family members and supporters who cannot make it to Bolton Percy will be able to watch live broadcasts, whilst catching highlight clips afterwards.

Live scores are overlayed in real-time, giving the stream a TV-quality feel for the audience. It also delivers fresh sponsorship opportunities for local businesses, giving them visibility across a much larger audience.

Mole Valley Asset Management has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with the club, covering the purchase and license of the camera. Duncan Sanford, Director and Portfolio Manager, said: “Grassroots sports clubs are an integral part of local communities. The FrogBox camera ensures family and friends of Bolton Percy CC can stay connected to the club, no matter where they are in the world.

“As a York-based business, we are dedicated to supporting the communities we are a part of, so providing the camera has been the perfect opportunity.”

Club Chairman Peter Atkinson said: “We are delighted to have received the FrogBox camera thanks to Mole Valley Asset Management. The camera will bring supporters closer to the action and build a valuable connection with those near and far. The potential of an additional revenue stream through broadcast sponsorships also opens a new door for local businesses to be even more involved.”
